Oasis of the Seas Cruise Ship Experiences

oasis of the seas

Oasis of the Seas made cruise ship history when she made her debut in 2009. Since then, Royal Caribbean’s groundbreaking Royal Amplified modernization initiative has further refined and upgraded Oasis of the Seas.

Put your problem-solving skills to the test in Royal Escape Room’s Mission Control: Apollo 18 challenge! Kids of all ages will love splashing around at this thrilling aqua park.

Splashaway Bay Aqua Park

As its name implies, this big and better water adventure provides pint-sized cruisers with hours of amusing water activities. There are slides, cannons, fountains, pools and whirlpools aplenty to provide splash zone fun to tots to tweens (and their supervising parents). Look out for that tempting dump bucket!

Kids will delight in a tube slide where they can race against friends, two smaller slides for side by side sliding, and a play structure with so many water sprayers and dump buckets that it almost feels like human car wash! Additionally, there are sandy patches perfect for lounging around in, as well as plenty of adult- and kid-sized Adirondack chairs to relax in the splash zone.

H20 Zone on Allure, Anthem, Freedom Liberty and Ovation of the Seas offers more toddler-friendly attractions while Quantum Oasis Ovation Harmony Symphony of the Seas’s Thrill Waterpark has more adventurous slides for children eight and older, including two racing slides that span ten stories of ship! Norwegian’s latest ships also boast some exciting waterslides like The Drop (an 10-story free fall waterslide) and The Rush (two intertwining racing slides).

Royal Escape Room

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line was one of the first cruise lines to introduce this immersive experience onboard their ships with their Royal Escape Room challenge, placing you and your group under pressure to solve mind-boggling puzzles before time runs out.

This immersive attraction is perfect for families and groups of friends alike, offering themed rooms where players must work together to complete challenges. Plus, there is an intriguing storyline which adds another level of depth and mystery.

Royal Escape Room’s Mission Control Apollo 18 offers an exciting challenge that pits you and your elite space squad against time in 1973, when Apollo 18 launched from Earth toward the moon. To succeed at “Lift Off,” you must crack complex codes and solve mind-boggling riddles against an alarming clock!

To take part in this new adventure, book ahead using Royal Caribbean’s Cruise Planner online booking portal. After booking, this tool will become accessible shortly thereafter and for some time before your voyage commences. In addition to booking ahead and signing up on board ship for this program.

Mission Control: Apollo 18

Royal Caribbean’s latest escape room places you at the head of an elite space squad tasked with landing Apollo 18 on the moon. But getting there won’t be as simple as giving a command: in this tense thriller you must search through control center for clues and solve complex puzzles to keep time ticking down as this mission’s fate hangs in the balance.

Writer-director David Fairhead adds his unique touch to Apollo movies and TV shows with this riveting thriller by showing what might have been had more issues not arisen. Some of the most dramatic moments come when crew members discuss their wives – Beth (Coreen Milstein Mueller) stands in contrast with out-of-control Gigi (Jami McCoy), providing contrast that adds tension.

Experiences aboard Royal Caribbean cruise ships have been designed around a room that closely resembles Houston’s Johnson Space Center’s original Apollo mission control room, complete with exact color paint choices and even actual button placement. Gerry Griffin, director of NASA’s Apollo program recently visited this ship experience and applauded its level of detail–from paint hues used right down to its lookdown buttons! This striking similarity also caught Royal Caribbean senior vice president Nick Weir’s attention who pointed out how when considering an escape room challenge for escape room challenge they considered this iconic mission control room as well.

The Royal Promenade

The Royal Promenade is the centerpiece of Oasis-class cruise ships, offering many bars and restaurants. Walking along this space can be especially exciting at night; its ceiling features undulating translucent panels back-lit with color changing technology that make for an exciting journey.

The space is filled with bars like Schooner Bar and Comedy Club, as well as restaurants such as Sorrento’s (New York style pizza), Champagne Bar and Cafe Promenade where drinks may be purchased but food requires an additional cost. TSG Tip: Many cabins on Oasis-class ships provide stunning views of Royal Promenade while some decks or store fronts may be blocked from view; this issue is less prominent on Voyager or Freedom class ships where all cabins offer access.

Oasis-class cruise ships feature seven neighborhoods called Oasis Promenades that offer activities for people of all ages to enjoy, including surf simulator FlowRider, H2O water park and Broadway-style shows – to keep shipmates entertained from start to finish! Newest Oasis ships feature the inaugural Dueling Pianos bar as well as 1400 Lobby Bar as tributes to workers who helped construct them.

Central Park

Oasis-class cruise ships feature seven vibrant neighborhoods full of fun. As you stroll through Central Park, you’ll encounter luxury boutiques for some shopping as well as a small library for browsing through books while admiring its lush vegetation.

Central Park, situated midship on Deck 8, provides the ideal place to unwind amidst lush green surroundings. Enjoy winding pathways, flower gardens and sitting areas surrounded by tropical trees in this peaceful oasis.

Central Park on Royal Caribbean ships is filled with restaurants and bars that add an atmosphere of relaxation, unlike Royal Promenade which offers more fervor. Here you will find Giovanni’s Table (rustic Italian cuisine) as well as Park Cafe for adult dining needs.

Central Park boasts an outdoor performance venue and numerous shops, from jewelry to Tiffany & Co. boutiques and John Hardy handcrafted jewellery stores. At nightfall, Central Park comes alive with romantic outdoor lounges featuring live music while offering refreshments – perfect for relaxing moments!

Boardwalk

The word boardwalk may conjure images of amusing beach games and delicious funnel cakes, but these walks can also be found in cities around the world. Some are simple walkways designed to allow pedestrians to stroll near ocean without damaging seaside plants or getting sand in their shoes; others feature enormous commercial areas with restaurants, games, and rides.

Atlantic City in New Jersey is perhaps best-known for its iconic boardwalk which opened its doors in 1870 as one of the original American boardwalks and remains today one of the busiest and largest boardwalks attracting visitors from around the globe who come here for gambling, eating and shopping experiences.

The BoardWalk Inn & Villas at Disney World captures all of the charm and elegance of Atlantic City’s boardwalk in its guest rooms, restaurants, and common areas. Rooms are themed to turn-of-the-century Atlantic City; guests will also find this theme carried through other restaurants and activities on property such as its pool area with creepy clown face decor; 21+ dance bar (Atlantic Dance Hall); margarita stand BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas; Dundy’s Sundries shop selling everything from toiletries to souvenirs – perfect!
